Computer Graphics and Mathematics

The raytracing technique can create extremely compelling computer imagery although it tends to be too slow for realtime applications. This talk examines the mathematical demands of ray tracing in an effort to motivate computer science students to take more mathematics and conversely.
Several small raytraced movies (usually with a mathematical theme) will be viewed and discussed.
This talk is intended for undergraduates.
